2008 Gala Dinner
Saturday, November 1st, 2008

This year's gala event honoring Dr. Huda Akil was held at the Sheraton in Parsippany, NJ. We also heard from Dr. Franke, Dr. Yarowsky and their student fellows, Alex Broad and Elizabeth Connors. The night was filled with DJ music, dancing, a silent auction, and great food.
Everyone enjoyed a fun, inspiring night for a great cause!

IES Brain Research Foundation Baseball & Fireworks Night with the SkyHawks

This event was great fun for all of the families and friends who attended to support the Foundation! It was a fun baseball game and the fireworks were awesome! IES Brain Research Foundation supporters had a chance to meet and take photographs with some of the players before the game. The Sky Hawks mascot came over to our section and posed with some of our young supporters. Thank you to all the participants, volunteers and sponsors. Special thank you to the U.S. Army, Oak Tree Pre-school and Lundbeck Research, USA, Inc.

Cycle for Brain Health 2008
June 2008

During Cycle for Brain Health, participants kept track of the miles cycled for the month of June and raised pledges for IES Brain Research Foundation for each mile they rode. It encouraged cycling outdoors more, getting into better shape, and family time together in a healthy way, while raising money for IESBRF.

We are happy with the results of our first Cycle for Brain Health event.
* Congratulations and thanks to our top five money raisers: 1st Zachary Ogorzalek, 2nd Madison Ogorzalek, 3rd Elise Schlosser, 4th Dan Mausner, 5th Keith Woelfel.
* Congratulations to Team Ogor, our top $ raising team & family, who raised $1260 for the Foundation.

Spin Cycle for Brain Health 2008
January 2008

Our first Spin fund-raiser, thought up & lead by Lois Burmester was great! The participants experienced a 99 Minute Spin Challenge that was geared to all levels. Thank you to all the participants, our host Sparta Athletic Club, Donna Fitzpatrick for taking photos and our T-shirt sponsor, Applebees. We are planning a 99 Minute Spin Challenge for 2009.
